Description

The Network, VoIP install is responsible for installing VoIP phones within the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role supports the deployment of VoIP phones, shifting Analog phones to VoIP phones. Requirements are to identify Analog phones to shift to VoIP phone system, tracing phone lines, resolving connectivity issues, and implementing improvements that align with new VoIP infrastructure. The position is essential for maintaining reliable communication across the US Air Force Academy sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy VoIP network phones

• Introducing phones and ensuring network performance reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems, and hardware failures

• Maintain network documentation of deployed VoIP phones (confirm via CAIRS tool)

Required Qualifications

• Understanding of LAN/WAN, VoIP environment and routing protocols

• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to pass security background check to access military facility

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Understanding of VoIP communications

• Required certification: Security+

• Cisco: CCNA, Certified Network Professional Enterprise, Certified Network Professional Security
